Wild Rumpus Athens 2021: A Night to Remember

The annual Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle has returned to the streets of Athens, Georgia, and this year's event promises to be even bigger and more fabulous than ever. The free festival is a must-attend for those who love Halloween, music, arts, and a good party.

The festivities begin at 5 PM with the Rumpus Rally, located at Creature Comforts Brewing Co. This is the perfect spot to grab a drink, enjoy some live music by MONSOON, LUXURY VEHICLE, and BICHOS VIVOS on the Rabbit Hole Stage, and get ready for the wild ride ahead.

At 8 PM, the Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle kicks off on West Hancock Avenue. The parade will wind its way through downtown Athens, featuring a dazzling display of hand-crafted, wildly imaginative costumes, aerialists on trapeze, and more. Don't miss out on the chance to see SHVKTi, El ChupaSKAbra, Kxng Blanco + Caulfield ft., and other talented performers.

In addition to the parade, the festival features an open-container zone where attendees can enjoy beer and wine within a barricaded area spanning four street blocks of downtown. The zone will be filled with music by DJ KOUNTRY BOY, Fishbug, Dialectic Flowers, FATHER WEREWOLf, OHMU, Spectre of Surf, DK, and White Rabbit Collective.

The Wild Rumpus is 1000% pro-diversity and an official 501c3 organization. The event celebrates the astrological sign Aries, marking its return to the streets after a virtual year due to Covid. This marks the 13th year of the festival, which has grown to attract crowds of over 10,000 people.

The public is invited to dress in Halloween costume and march through the streets of 'The Classic City' with fellow freaks, beasts, and creatures of the night. Important Notes:

* Wristbands are required for outdoor drinking and can be purchased at Creature Comforts, Paloma Park, Ted's Most Best, Rook & Pawn, and Trappeze Pub inside the festival zone.

* Drinking alcohol in the street or outdoors while outside of the festival zone is illegal.

* The Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle is free to attend and open to all ages. However, please note that some areas may be restricted to those 21+.
